Dr. Tony Hyser: Battling Bad Breath
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- It might be more than just your coffee making your breath smell.
Dr. Tony Hyser, of Providence Health Center, explains there's a difference between acute and chronic bad breath.
It can be caused by an upper respiratory infection, improper digestion, or even some medications. The most common cause is bacteria building up in the mouth.
He recommends avoiding or cutting down on products that cause bad breath - like cigarettes, alcohol and coffee. Drinking more water will help flush bacteria and diminish a dry mouth.
