CHARLOTTE, N.C. -  Wilson joined members of the Charlotte Fire Department this morning as they were taking on the long trek up the stairs of the Duke Energy building in honor of the first responders and the victims who died in the 9/11 tragedy.

After completing 110 flights the fire fighters were presented with a check from Wells Fargo for $20,000 for the Charlotte Fire Fighters Charities. 

On Saturday, October 13th the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Event will be held to raise funds for fire fighters, law enforcement and military who have served our country.  Find out more about this year's event below.   The event includes both a stair climb and a 5K race.
