CHARLOTTE, N.C. -   Before former Carolina Panthers players Wesley Walls and Colin Branch joined Wilson at OrthoCarolina Research Institute he got in a few minutes of exercise time.  Too bad he got one upped by a sixth grader.

OrthoCarolina Research Institute (OCRI) is where athletes and non-atheletes alike come for sports related injuries.  OCRI is a non profit organization that runs separate from OrthoCarolina's orthopedit practice, but works with their physicians and patients on research studies.

The institute focuses on research and education of sports related injuries.  Colin Branch is a representative with the Charlotte Former Players Foundation.  Branch talked about his NFL experience and the players foundation he works with.  Wesley Walls is on the Board of Directors of OCRI.  Walls talked with Wilson about his sports injuries, the upcoming I-PASS event and even about the current rumors regarding Panthers Wide Receiver Steve Smith.

The OCRI has partnered with the Charlotte Former Players Foundation for the upcoming I-PASS  (injury prevention across sports with science) event.  I-PASS is a fundraising event to bring awareness to the importance of orthopedic research.  I-PASS will be held on March 29th from 6-10pm at Bank of America Stadium.  Key note speaker is Lee Corso, ESPN analyst on College Gameday.  For ticket information see the link below:
