CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Wilson enjoys a good soccer match.  Today he found out that soccer is more than just a game.  Charlotte's Urban Ministry's StreetSoccer 945 provides the opportunity for those who are homeless to come together to learn life skills as well as promoting a healthy lifestyle and team support as well as giving team members constructive use of their leisure time. StreetSoccer 945 originated in Charlotte about 8 years ago and is now in over 20 different cities.

For the 11th year The Charlotte World Cup brings together teams from all over the world to participate in the event.  The Charlotte World Cup will be held on Saturday and Sunday, June 1st and 2nd at Ramblewood Soccer Complex.  All of the proceeds will go to the Urban Ministry's StreetSoccer 945.
