MIDLAND, N.C. -  Wilson donned his favorite pirate hat today when he went searching for Blackbeard's bounty at Reed Gold Mine in Midland.  From now until October Blackbeard's Queen Anne's Revenge traveling exhibit will be on display at Reed Gold Mine.

Blackbeard's Queen Anne's Revenge ran aground in 1718 near Beaufort, North Carolina and until recently most of the artifacts from the ship remained under water.  These artifacts have been raised from the depths of the ocean and are now traveling the state on loan from the Maritime Museum in Beaufort.

Blackbeard's Queen Anne's Revenge traveling exhibit is not only educational but entertaining for the family as well.  A scavenger hunt for the kids is also part of the exhibit.   The exhibit is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9am until 5pm.  Admission is free and open to the public.
