GASTONIA, N.C. -  Nothing is more serene on an early morning than the mist rising from a calm lake.  Wilson was at Rankin Lake Park where he had the opportunity to have his moment of zen when he and Photographer Mike joined Chuck Dellinger on a jon-boat for a tour of the lake.

The park, walking trails and disc golf course are open from dusk to dawn year round.  The lake is open March though November and you can get fishing permits as well as rent kayaks, jon-boats and pedal boats.  Find out more information below about the lake and the amenities.
