CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Wilson continued his look at  National Volunteer Week and Hands on Charlotte Day today when he was at the Bethlehem Center of Charlotte talking with volunteers who will be participating in this Saturday's Hands on Charlotte Day.

For over 75 years the Bethlehem Center of Charlotte has been providing educational  and outreach opportunities to families to improve the quality of their lives.

Each year Hands on Charlotte Day has brought together as many as 1,000 volunteers participating in diverse projects.  There are projects all across the Charlotte area that people can sign up and volunteer to help with.  From something as simple as sorting donated clothing and preparing care packages for children to as physical as clearing debris in neighborhoods or landscaping around schools, there is  a project that fits every volunteer.  Projects take place from 9am until 12 noon.  When the day comes to a close, a large party will be held for the volunteers at VBGB from 12pm until 3pm.

Thursday, April 10th is the last day to register and pick your favorite project with which to volunteer.  There is no registration on the day of the event.  To register click HERE.
