CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Wilson was with Edwin Gil, a glass artist who specializes in "upcycling," creating his beautiful pieces from recycled glass.  Recently he has completed an American flag especially for the DNC.  Wilson was with him when he hung the piece outside of his gallery.  Gil is currently completing pieces of famous North Carolinians.  Wilson was there to reveal Gil's latest and greatest art piece of a famous Charlottean.  And...it was none other than our own Jon Wilson... who is of course a FOX Charlotte work of art! 

On Friday, August 24th the Gil Gallery will have their grand opening.  "New Horizons: Upcycling" will be an exhibit of his artwork of famous North Carolinians.  The event will be from 5:30pm  to 9pm. Gil Gallery is located inside the Coffey & Thompson Gallery at 109 West Morehead Street.
