CHARLOTTE, N.C. -  Rolling up to the entrance of the Convention Center on his power scooter, Wilson took on the unassigned title as "official greeter"  to harass the attendees coming in to the Quilt Week Quilters Convention

After welcoming guests to the convention, he even sat down and talk with some of the quilters who are part of the American Quilters Society to find out more about what  Quilt Week and the convention is all about.  He even took a turn at long arm quilting as well as learning how to do a little quilting as well as learning about silk screening.

Not only can attendees learn a lot about quilting techniques and new quilting products, there are also have award winning handmade quilts on exhibit and also some available for sale.

One of Wilson's favorite areas at the convention was the Quilted in Honor exhibit which exhibited quilts that were made in honor of military, veterans and wounded warriors.  Quilts in this area are being auctioned off to benefit Operation Home Front.

Events for Quilt Week will be going on at the Convention Center through Saturday.  For more information on show times, connect on their website HERE.
