CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Wilson enjoys playing games, but today he was getting one-upped by some young chess players at Charlotte Chess Center and Scholastic Academy.  Founded in March of 2014 CCCSA actually began as Queen City Chess Association in 2007, a small club of avid chess players.  After many years of game nights and successful tournaments, the organizers wanted a physical location where chess players of all ages and all skills could come together to enjoy playing chess and improvng their skills.

Nine year old Colin was concentrating intensely on his game of chess when Wilson did his best to distract him.  Colin's Mom discussed with Wilson the positive sides of having a son that enjoys playing chess and some of the life lessons he has learned from the game. Colin also talked with Wilson on why he enjoys playing chess and what he does at CCCSA.  Noel, Julia and Quinn joined Colin and Wilson at the chess table.

CCCSA has summer camps for all age and skill levels and anyone can participate.  For mor information on CCCSA and their camps and classes click HERE.
