Wilson Learns that Even the Youngest Enjoy Partipating in the Keep Pounding 5K
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Wilson was at Bank of America Stadium today to preview this Saturday's Keep Pounding 5K when he met seven year old Katie Corey who was diagnosed with a rare cancer at the age of three. With the help of the great people at Levine Children's Hospital, Katie is now cancer free and is paying it forward by helping out at the hospital.
The Keep Pounding 5K is only one of the many projects of the Carolina Panthers Keep Pounding mission. Proceeds from the event beneifit pediatric cancer research and patient support at Levine Children's Hospital, which is the largest children's hospital in the southeast.
Runners can still register for the 5K which begins at Levine Children's Hospital and ends on the practice field at Bank of America Stadium. On-line registration for the Keep Pounding 5K will be open through Wednesday, June 4th, but you can register at the event or at Charlotte Running Company.
