CHARLOTTE, N.C. -  Earlier in June Wilson visited JCPenny in Windsor Square where they had kicked off their Cause of the Month event for Big Brothers Big Sisters. All month long JCPenney stores across the country have been helping BBBS with donations.

BBBS is always looking for volunteers to be big brothers and big sisters.  It is also a great opportunity for college kids on break who would like spending their summer making another child's summer special.

There will be a lot of events coming up for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Charlotte.  Their yearly event "Big Day at the Lake" will happen on July 20th.  This event is an exciting day for the kids to enjoy the great outdoors and have a day they will never forget. Volunteers who are boat owners are still need to come out with their boat to help give these kids a day on the lake that they may normally not have.  Find out how you can volunteer at the Big Brothers Big Sister website listed below.

You still have time to help BBBS when shopping at JCPenny. Round up your purchase to the nearest dollar and that money will go to BBBS, or  for every $50 gift card purchased, JCP will donate $1 to BBBS.  Haggar Slacks has even partnered up with JCPenney in their cause.  For every pair of Haggar slacks purchased at JCP, they will donate $1, up to $50,000.  You have only one more week to get by JCPenney to help out.
