CHARLOTTE, N.C. -  Beginning this Friday and for the next 11 weeks Charlotte area AT&T stores will be helping teachers and students when customers recycle their old phones.  Each time a phone is dropped by a store, AT&T will donate $5 to Donors Choose.  All 8 area AT&T stores are participating in the project.

Donors Choose is an online charity that helps teachers obtain the materials they need to teach the students in their classroom.   Everything from the basics to tech items such as iPads and even microscopes are available for teachers who need them.

Wilson was at the AT&T store at Blakney where he talked with teachers who will be reaping the benefits of the AT&T recycle event.
