CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Wilson was as excited as a kid at Christmas when he had an opportunity to climb inside the cockpit of a C-130 while he was visiting with the 145th Airlift Wing of the N.C. Air National Guard.  He was given an opportunity that few people get, to go behind the scenes and get an up close look at the work and equipment that it takes to keep the Air National Guard serving our country.

After checking out the plane the guys got Wilson all suited up for a jump out of the plane...but don't worry, Wilson kept both feet on the ground.  He also did a little "night vision" experiement thanks to our photog Mike.

Wilson talked with some of the Guardsmen who are a part of the 145th about their job, why they do it and how much it means to them.
