MATTHEWS, N.C. - From a rooster on his head to a turkey showing him some love, Wilson was enjoying his morning at Backyard Birds on today's Wilson's World segment titled "Fun With Poultry."   After the rooster woke everybody up, Wilson found he perfected his turkey call when his new friend Mr. T, who is a resident with Carolina Waterfowl Rescue, followed him around the store.

Backyard Birds is a family owned business that is a mecca for bird lovers and birdwatchers. They work closely with local non-profits organizations like Carolina Waterfowl Rescue and Habitat & Wildlife Keepers to support the rescue and rehabilitation of sick, injured and orphaned birds.

On Sunday, February 17th from 2pm until 3pm at Squirrel Lake Park in Matthews, Backyard Birds along with the Audubon Society will hold a local Great Backyard Bird Count event.  It is a family fun event for the novice as well as the serious bird watcher. Find out more about the event at Backyard Birds website or Facebook page listed below.

Backyard Birds is located at Matthews Festival, 1819 Matthews Township Parkway in Matthews.  You can check out their website at thebirdsforfoodstore.com or follow them on Facebook at facebook.com/thebirdfoodstore.
