CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Wilson was having too much fun with the "Dream Team" from Butler High School today while they were getting geared up for their participation in the "Celebrate My Drive" competition.  The competition is an event to bring awareness of not texting while driving.  Matthews Mayor Jim Taylor joined Wilson and the kids talking about the commitment the kids have made to the program.

In North America auto crashes are the number on reason for death among teenagers.  State Farm Insurance created Celebrate My Drive to share the belief that safe driving is a livelong commitment and encourage safe driving behind the wheel.

As part of the Celebrate My Drive competition local schools have the chance to win a grant for as much as $100,000 as well as a private concert by singer Kelly Clarkson.  You can help the school win by going to the website www.celebratemydrive.com and sign up to be a safe driver.

This Saturday at 9am teenagers can participate in the Street Safe driving program at Butler High School.  The experience helps kids to gain experience of what can happen while texting and driving and losing control of a car.  Trained professionals in a controlled environment will be with the drivers.  Register for Street Safe at their website www.streetsafeus.com or call 910-612-9030.

The kids found out how much fun being serious can be when hanging out with Wilson.  Who knew that there was such amazing undiscovered talent at Butler!
