Charlotte, N.C. -  It almost didn't happen this year and Wilson was really upset, but thanks to Novant Health, Wilson will again get to ride in this year's Thanksgiving Day Parade.   The Novant Health Thanksgiving Parade will be bigger and better than ever.  For 65 years Charlotte has been one of the largest parades kicking off the holiday season and last year was listed in U.S. News and World Report as one of America's Best Thanksgiving Day Parades.

Organizers of this year's parade are asking for the public's help and input with this year's parade.  Parade organizers and Charlotte Center City Partners are asking people in the community who are interested in participating in the parade as sponsors, participants or volunteers to come Uptown to the Convention Center at 2:30 today and find out how they can be a part of continuing a Charlotte tradition.
