PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Tim Duncan had 24 points and 17 rebounds to help San Antonio recover after blowing a 17-point lead and go on to beat Philadelphia 90-85. The 76ers took a seven-point lead midway through the fourth quarter, but missed nine of their final 10 shots. EvanTurner scored 18 points and had 12 rebounds for Philadelphia, which has lost seven of its last nine.
CHICAGO (AP) — Marco Belinelli scored eight of his 15 points during an 18-3 fourth-quarter run that sparked Chicago to a 95-83 win over the struggling Lakers. Los Angeles has lost nine of its last 11 games, including six in a row on the road.
SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — Otto Porter scored 19 points to lead Georgetown to a 63-47 victory over slumping Notre Dame, the Fighting Irish's third loss in four games. It was a dismal night for No. 24 Notre Dame, which recorded season lows in points scored, field goal percentage (35 percent) and assists (11).
OTTAWA (AP) — Craig Anderson was on his game in Ottawa's home opener, turning aside 31 shots in a 4-0 win over Florida. It was the 20th shutout of Anderson's career. Kyle Turris opened the scoring with a power play goal in the first period and added another in the second period.
UNDATED (AP) — Baylor continues to be No. 1 in the Associated Press women's college basketball poll, making it three weeks in a row at the top for the Lady Bears. The Bears grabbed 35 first place votes after easy wins over Kansas State and West Virginia. Notre Dame, UConn, Duke and Kentucky round out the top five.
