Injuries keep Burks, Brooks out of Bobcats workout

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Injuries to two top prospects have put a damper on the Charlotte Bobcats' large pre-draft workout.

Alec Burks of Colorado and Marshon Brooks of Providence sat out Sunday's 12-player, two-session audition. The Bobcats say Burks dislocated his shoulder working out for Milwaukee on Saturday and Brooks twisted an ankle Friday auditioning for New York.

Coach Paul Silas is hoping both could return for another workout before the June 23 draft.

With owner Michael Jordan in attendance, the Bobcats are still watching at least six other candidates for the ninth and 19th picks.

Jordan Hamilton of Texas, Kawhi Leonard of San Diego State, Klay Thompson of Washington State, Tobias Harris of Tennessee, Chris Singleton of Florida State and Tyler Honeycutt of UCLA are all on hand.
