NEW YORK (AP) — Chris Braswell had 20 points and 12 rebounds and DeMario Mayfield chipped in 17 points and 14 rebounds to lead Charlotte over Fordham 69-62 on Saturday.
It was Braswell's 20th career double-double moving him into sixth all-time for the 49ers.
Charlotte (11-11, 3-6 Atlantic 10 Conference) led 32-28 at halftime and held the Rams (9-13, 2-7) to 27.8 percent from the field (10 of 36), including just 2 of 14 from 3-point range in the second half.
The 49ers outrebounded Fordham 53-36, and snapped a four game losing streak overall and a six-game streak in A10 play.
Charlotte led 48-47 with 10:36 left before scoring eight unanswered points to pull away. Mayfield capped the spurt with four straight points.
Jamar Briscoe chipped in 12 points for Charlotte.
Chris Gaston had a double-double for Fordham with 25 points and 14 rebounds, and Bryan Smith added 14 points.
