CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — The Charlotte 49ers on Wednesday announced their final recruiting class before their inaugural football season.
It includes three junior college transfers, a member of USA Football's u-19 National Team, four players who participated in the North Carolina-South Carolina Shrine Bowl and two more who participated in South Carolina's annual North-South game.
The 19-man class includes five players from the Charlotte area.
In addition to this signee class, the 49ers announced three new players who transferred into the program in December: CJ Crawford from Marshall, Mikel Hunter from Air Force and Caleb Clayton-Molby from Georgia Military College.
The 49ers signed their first class in February, 2012.
The team held workouts and practices this fall in preparation for the inaugural season which begins Aug. 31 against Campbell.
