NC State Will Name Mark Gottfried New Basketball Coach, Reports Say

RALEIGH, NC - Several sources are reporting Mark Gottfried will be named the new head coach North Carolina State Wolfpack Men's Basketball program.

Gottfried was formerly the head coach at Murray State and, most recently, at Alabama. 

At Alabama, Gottfried led the Tide to the SEC regular season championship in the 2001–02 season. The following year, his team became the first in Crimson Tide history to be ranked No. 1 in the AP poll.  In 2004, he led the Tide to the Elite Eight.

Gottfried's career record is 278–155 overall.  He was 210–132 with Alabama.
