CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) — Virginia isn't satisfied with having achieved its goal of qualifying for a bowl game for the first time since 2007.
The Cavaliers (6-3, 3-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) still have three regular season games to play, beginning with Saturday's visit from Duke (3-6, 1-4). The Blue Devils have lost four straight this season, but will arrive at Scott Stadium having beaten Virginia in three straight.
Virginia's players say they don't feel like anything is guaranteed just yet, and they aren't close to satisfied. They figure three more games give then three more chances to improve their credentials for bowl officials.
Linebacker Steve Greer says the ultimate goal at this point is to play in, and win, the conference championship game.
