Florida State not afraid of No. 18 Duke's offense

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — The Florida State basketball program, known for defense under coach Leonard Hamilton, is more offensive oriented this year.

The Seminoles average 73.3 points the first time they've averaged at least 70 points since the 2007-08 season. Hamilton's teams have averaged more than 73 points just twice since he took over the program in 2002.

Florida State will need every point it can muster at No. 18 Duke on Saturday — the highest scoring team in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The Blue Devils are led by 6-foot-8 freshman Jabari Parker (18.9 ppg) and sophomore Rodney Hood (17.6). The Seminoles are paced by Ian Miller (13.3), Aaron Thomas (13.1) and Okaro White (12.3).

Miller says, "Just as much as we have to defend them, they've got to come out and defend us."
