CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Carolina Panthers Wide Receiver Muhsin Muhammad announed on Thursday his intention to retire from professional football.  Moose was in the NFL for 14 season, 11 of those with the Carolina Panthers.

Muhammad leaves as the Panthers leader in receptions (696) and receiving yards (9,255).  But to Moose, those are only numbers...it is his relationships that he takes pride in.

Mushin Muhammad has done as much for the city of Charlotte off the field as on it, raising money and awareness for countless charities including his own "M2 Foundation for Kids."

Moose's post-football plans include working with a private equity firm he has started and doing broadcasting.

We will miss the echo of  "mooose" on the field.

Mushin will be on FOX New Got Game this Sunday night, June 13th  at 10:30pm to talk with Bruce and Kelli more about his future plans.
