Michael Patetta Sonic Scholar Athlete of the WeekMaren Brown- Sonic Scholar Athete for 10/16/10CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Michael Patetta is a senior at Marvin Ridge High School and is currently the co-captain for the varsity soccer team. He has received the Academic All American Athlete award as well as an Academic Letter since 2008. In 2009, Michael was named to the SCC All Conference soccer team, and he has won several medals for different events in Science Olympaid competitions. Every year, Michael volunteers at WCWAA as a coach and trainer for a receational soccer team. He raised over 300 lbs of food for a food drive benefiting the Loaves and Fishes group of Union County. Michael also participated in Race for a Cure, Habitat for Humanity and other organizations, and he works part time as a tutor with the Kumon group.
