RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — The Carolina Hurricanes have agreed to deals with center Brody Sutter and defenseman Justin Krueger.
Carolina agreed to a three-year, entry-level deal with Sutter that will pay him $525,000 per year at the NHL level or $55,000 in the minors. It also includes a $105,000 signing bonus.
The deal with Krueger is a one-year contract that will pay him $600,000 in the NHL or $90,000 in the minors with a guarantee of at least $105,000.
Also on Friday, team president and general manager Jim Rutherford said in a statement that the team failed to reach a contract agreement with goaltender Frederik Andersen. The team had until 5 p.m. Friday to reach a deal with the 2010 draft pick, but Andersen will enter this summer's draft.
