He wanted a system that set up "Game 7" type moments that rivaled other professional spots leagues. NASCAR has achieved that climactic ending this season. Three drivers are going into Sunday's season finale with a chance to win the title. Denny Hamlin leads four-time defending champion Jimmie Johnson by 15 points, while Kevin Harvick is 46 points out. It's the tightest final race since the Chase debuted in 2004. |
