RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina State running back Mustafa Greene is going to court on a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Greene was charged on April 2 and is scheduled to appear in Wake County District Court on May 10.
It's the latest trouble for the 20-year-old from Irmo, S.C. He missed a week of spring practice because of an incident during practice with coach Tom O'Brien.
Greene had an outstanding warrant from Rowan County when Raleigh police went to his off-campus apartment and found a "grinder" for marijuana, with marijuana residue.
As a freshman in 2010, Greene led the Wolfpack with 597 yards rushing and four touchdowns. He also caught 30 passes for 272 yards with two touchdowns. He suffered a foot injury last spring and missed the 2011 season.
