RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina State is back to work on the practice field.
The Wolfpack got a jump start on the preseason Tuesday when they opened fall camp. They're the first of the state's Bowl Subdivision teams to begin practice.
N.C. State figures to be the best team in the state. The Wolfpack were picked to finish third in their Atlantic Coast Conference division and they open Aug. 31 against Tennessee in the Georgia Dome.
Mike Glennon returns at quarterback after throwing for 31 touchdowns last season.
FBS interception leader David Amerson is back, and safety Tim Buckley also was in camp. The Raleigh high school standout was the first player to officially transfer out of Penn State since the NCAA issued sanctions on the program.
