RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina State went from losing a close game at Miami to upsetting highly ranked Florida State. Coach Tom O'Brien is hoping to see his team play with more consistency going forward.

The Wolfpack (4-2, 1-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) next travels to Maryland, where O'Brien's program has lost five of six games.

Defensive end Brian Slay says the bye week allowed the Wolfpack to savor the win against the Seminoles, rest and refocus before traveling to face the Terrapins (4-2, 2-0).

O'Brien says he wants to see his players focus on cutting down the turnovers that plagued them in losses to Tennessee and Miami. He also wants to eliminate the mistakes that led to numerous big plays allowed by the defense in those losses.
