CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina and Duke meet Saturday as the Tar Heels try to improve their bowl standing.

The Tar Heels (6-5, 2-5 Atlantic Coast Conference) have lost four of five games in the past month. But if they beat the Blue Devils (3-8, 1-6), the bowl-eligible Tar Heels could head to the postseason with the chance to match their eight wins from each of the previous three seasons.

Leading rusher Giovani Bernard is expected to play after suffering a mild concussion last week for UNC.

The Blue Devils have lost six straight, with three of those coming by seven or fewer points.
