Lattimore learns from injured kneeCOLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina star Marcus Lattimore realized during his time away from football that he hadn't done nearly enough to keep himself healthy and help the Gamecocks succeed. Lattimore tore ligaments in his left knee against Mississippi State last October and needed surgery about a month later. He's been rehabilitating since and missed South Carolina's just concluded spring practice. Lattimore rushed for 818 yards in seven games to lead the Gamecocks. But Lattimore said he did not do the little things to help him, like stretching properly or using training tubs to soothe tired muscles. That's changed. Now Lattimore has thrown himself in learning the offense and doing everything to return. He said he's ahead of schedule and will be ready for fall. |
