Harris had 15 points to lead Wake Forest to a 71-56 win over Boston College on Saturday. Ty Walker added 11 rebounds, six blocks and six points for the Demon Deacons (11-8, 2-3 Atlantic Coast Conference), who snapped a three-game losing streak. Ryan Anderson paced Boston College (7-12, 2-3) with 13 points and Lonnie Jackson had 12. The Eagles have dropped two straight. Wake Forest had lost its last two league games by double digits — getting beat by 36 points against North Carolina State last Saturday and by 18 at No. 4 Duke on Thursday. The Demon Deacons looked ready from the start against Boston College, pulling to a 13-point lead late the first half. They saw it sliced to three twice in the opening five minutes of the second half before they took charge with a 12-2 spurt to open a 52-40 edge. |
