Wake Forest once again lived up to its "Wake Florida" nickname.
Coach Jim Grobe continued to mine the Sunshine State for recruits, with eight of the 19 signees announced Wednesday coming from Florida. Wake Forest had 30 Floridians on last season's roster.
The list includes nine players who received three stars from the recruiting analysts at Scout.com. That service ranked the Demon Deacons' class last in the ACC and 72nd nationally.
Quarterback Tyler Cameron of Jupiter and linebacker Kevin Jones of Oakland Park are the two highest-rated Floridians on Wake Forest's list of signees. Cameron is a lefthander who enrolled last month.
Wake Forest's class also is noteworthy because of its balance. The Demon Deacons signed at least one player from each position group.
