WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) — James Franklin isn't happy about bringing Vanderbilt to Wake Forest for a second straight year. Still, he hopes this trip goes as well for the Commodores as the last one did.
Vanderbilt (7-4) is riding a five-game winning streak and is returning to the scene of last season's 41-7 rout of the Demon Deacons (5-6) on Saturday with the hope of doing it again.
Franklin says he's "completely against" this return trip to Winston-Salem, but last year's visit turned out pretty well for the Commodores.
Zac Stacy rushed for 184 yards and three touchdowns, and quarterback Jordan Rodgers had 229 total yards to help them become bowl eligible in the 2011 finale in Winston-Salem.
This time they're looking to deny the Demon Deacons their second straight trip to the postseason.
