WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) — Wake Forest has hired former Demon Deacons player Warren Belin as its newest assistant coach.
Coach Jim Grobe on Thursday said Belin would coach outside linebackers.
Belin played linebacker at Wake Forest from 1987-90 and spent the past two seasons coaching that position for the Carolina Panthers.
He fills the vacancy created when secondary coach Tim Duffie left for Oklahoma State.
Grobe says Derrick Jackson will shift from coaching outside linebackers to the secondary.
