By and large, alcohol is only sold at college campuses in very few, limited circumstances that the state only recently made possible. But private colleges are a different matter. Davidson College is the latest higher-learning facility to tap into the booze market. The school is allowing Summit Coffee to open a new pub on campus, one that will serve beer and wine in addition to java.
It's not like college kids can't find booze if they really want it, but what message does this send? Good idea, or bad?
