The 80s were some kind of time, back before the face-pages and the cellular phones, the fax machines and all them other doo-hickies all the kids are playing with these days. Would today's kids even survive back then? We're about to find out.
A couple in Canada got fed up with the kids spending more time in the online world, rather than in the really real one. So their answer to unplugging is to live for an entire year like it's 1986. No smartphones, no tablets, and no cappuccino machines. They're also getting rid of computers and the Internet, though people of a certain age might point out they had Commodore 64s and bulletin board chat rooms back then.
But will kids these days survive in "1986" for a year? And for our viewers of the aforementioned "certain age", what did you love most about the 80s?
