The President is preparing for some kind of intervention between the Syrian government and rebel fighters. And although he's promising he won't put "feet on the ground", people are concerned about another U.S. action in the Middle East.
The very fact that the President is seeking Congressional approval makes some on the international scene think he can't prove Syria has the chemical weapons he says they do. But the U.S. contends we can. And what's more, it was the government that used the weapons on the rebels, not Al Qaeda fighters who used them to make it look like Syria did it. Got it?
Also today, Republican leader John Boehner threw his support behind the President, even as the U.N. says action could cause more problems, and our N.A.T.O allies are backing away.
