FORT MILL, S.C. - It is both sad and exciting at Knights Stadium in Fort Mill today...it is the final game for the Charlotte Knights at Knights Stadium. When they throw out the first pitch to kick off the 2014 season next April, it will be in the new BB&T Ballpark in Uptown Charlotte. Wilson was at Knights Stadium to celebrate and remember 24 years of great baseball in the old stadium.
This morning's final tarp pull at the stadium is only one of the final things that will be happening today. At 2:15pm, the final game will begin. The Knights have a lot of exciting things going on for those in attendance today. A huge tailgating party will be going on. The picnic area will open at noon and commemorative final tickets will be given away to the first 3,000 fans. Check out their weblink below to find out more about what is happening today as well as how to get tickets for games in the new BB&T Ballpark.
