Police Identify Teen Killed In Shooting At West Charlotte Motel 6

The victim has been identified as 17-year-old Daquayaon Lavar Brown.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man has died at a local hospital after he was shot at a hotel in west Charlotte early Wednesday.

Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department say a man took himself to the Presbyterian Hospital after witnesses told them he was shot at the Motel 6 located at 4416 S. Tryon St. a little after midnight.

Police circulated the area and located the crime scene in the parking lot at the Motel 6.

The man died at the hospital. His name will be released once his family has been notified.

No arrests have been made at this time.

The shooting is under investigation.
