Hickory Police Search For 2 Wanted Murder Suspects Involved In A Fatal Shooting

Detectives say the shooting is now being investigated as a murder after Phelifia Marlow died in the hospital from injuries she received.

Police say Tangela Parker is wanted for first degree murder, and Eric Parker is wanted for accessory after the fact to first degree murder.

HICKORY, N.C. — Hickory Police say they are looking for two wanted suspects involved in a shooting on January 13th that left one woman in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Detectives say they are searching for Tangela Parker and Eric Parker of Alexander County, who were last scene leaving the business where the shooting took place in a beige 2019 Honda CRV with a N.C. tag “FAM5669.”

Police say the shooting occurred at 2:30 p.m. on 9th Avenue NE, at TCS Designs, in Hickory after two employees of the business got into an argument.

Officers say they found 51-year-old Phelifia Marlow suffering from gunshot wounds inside the business when they arrived at the scene, before she was transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem for life-threatening injuries.

Tangela Parker is wanted for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and Eric Parker is wanted for accessory after the fact, according to a news release.
