Actor’s Theatre Of Charlotte Re-Opens With Outdoor “Rock The Park” Themed Lineup

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte announces its return to the stage with a Season 33 seven-show schedule that begins under the stars with 3 summer shows guaranteed to “Rock The Park” for audiences excited for outdoor entertainment (and a few tasty power chords).

ATC will present its “Act 1” with 3 popular rock musicals outdoors at “The Barn at MoRA – a Levine Property,” 8300 Monroe Road, Charlotte, N.C., 28212.

The park’s massive barn and silos will be the backdrop for the musicals. Performances will be rain or shine, and patrons are asked to bring their own chairs. Parking is free.
COVID-19 health and safety protocols will be in place, and patrons can expect to enjoy the atmosphere of the park safely.

Like all of the arts and entertainment sector in Charlotte, ATC has been seriously impacted by the pandemic, and has been dark at its home at the Hadley Theatre at Queens University since February of 2020.

“ATC is thrilled to be opening our 33rd season in a safe, outdoor, rock-your-socks-off location,” said Chip Decker, ATC Executive Director. “With a lot of support and love from Charlotte’s East Side, the awesome folks at MoRA (moraclt.org) and Levine Properties, we are bringing 3 ‘nothin’ but a good time’” summer rock musicals to a dairy barn near you! Rain or shine, we’ll blow your mind!”

Season 33’s “Act 2” is a dynamic 4-show season of the adult contemporary theatre ATC is celebrated for, back inside the Hadley Theatre starting in January 2022:

HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH
by John Cameron Mitchell & Stephen Trask
