That’s why we have gathered road sign tips and guide to share with you. Check it out some of the common signs you may encounter.
Railroad Crossing
If you across a round yellow sign with a large black “X” in the center with two “R”s on the side, you’ve come across a railroad crossing sign. It means you’re around railroad tracks. Make sure to proceed with caution to ensure you’re safe around the tracks and that you don’t damage your car. If you speed through the railroad tracks you hurt your tires.
No U-turn
If you have ever missed your turn and made a u-turn to make your way back around, keep an eye out for no u-turn signs! The no u-turn sign means that it’s illegal and unsafe to complete the u-turn! The sign looks like a U-shaped arrow with a red circle with a slash through the center. However, if you see the same sign without the red circle and slash, a u-turn is permitted!
Are you familiar with these road signs?
Divided Highway
If you’re driving on the highway and you spot a yellow square sign with two arrows going on opposite directions and half of an oval in between the arrows, you’ve come the divided highway sign. This means that the two-lane highway will be split and turn into a one lane each way. Be careful and watch out for the road!
Merging Traffic
When you come across a diamond shaped yellow sign with two arrows, one straight and one curved, that join together at the pointy end you’re at merging point on the highway. This means that a lane will be merging into your lane down the road. If the curvy arrow is on the right, the lane is merging from the right. If the curvy arrow is on the left, the lane is merging from the left.
Four-way Intersection
If you come across a yellow diamond shaped sign with a “+” in the middle this means you’re coming across a four-way intersection. Keep an eye out all around, proceed with caution, and make a complete stop!
