RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC — Thursday evening Republican US Senator Richard Burr faced off against former Democratic state Representative Deborah Ross in their only televised NC senatorial debate.

Incumbent Sen. Burr and former Rep. Ross answered questions about each of the 2016 presidential candidates, foreign policy, and state and federal economics. The two also touched on the Affordable Care Act, House Bill 2, law enforcement and race relations, and equal pay while attacking each other’s records throughout the debate.
