UPDATE: Investigators say two arrests have been made in Maryland in reference to the missing person case of a Charlotte Uber driver.
Detectives determined that Marlo Medina-Chevez’s credit card was used in Maryland. Homicide detectives with CMPD drove to Maryland to continue their investigation. Just before midnight, detectives were notified by the Maryland State Police that they received a plate reader hit and located Medina-Chevez’s 2008 Nissan Pathfinder near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.
The Annapolis Police Department stopped the vehicle and detained four occupants. Two of the occupants were later released and not charged.

CHARLOTTE, NC – New information tonight in the case of a missing Charlotte Uber driver.
Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation.
But family members still hope Marlo Medina-Chevez will be found alive.
“Today was a lot harder, I believe, than yesterday just because it’s been such a long time since.. you know he’s gone missing,” says Medina-Chevez’s daughter Genesis Mota-Medina.
Investigators say Medina-Chevez could be in “grave danger.”
Monday they released a new photo.
It show the 2008 dark blue Nissan Pathfinder Medina-Chevez was driving when he left his home in Steele Creek Saturday night.
Family members say he was on his way to pick up Uber customers and never returned.
They say it’s out of the ordinary.
“He’s very family-oriented. He’s always either working or home,” Mota-Medina says.
Police say Uber is cooperating in the investigation but wouldn’t say what information the ride-sharing company is able to give them.
“To get into that.. would be compromising to the investigation at this point and time,” says CMPD Major Cam Selvey.
He says turning the case over to homicide will allow them to add more resources.
Family members aren’t giving up hope.
They’re searching areas where Medina-Chevez usually picked up customers and plan to distribute flyers in Uptown.
“We just want him to come home safe you know. Or just come home,” Mota-Medina says.
