NC Senate Approves Bill Allowing Sunday Morning Alcohol Sales

RALEIGH, NC — A push to allow people to buy liquor before lunch on Sunday is closer to reality in North Carolina.

The state senate approved a bill Thursday that would allow beer, wine and liquor sales before noon on Sundays, which is currently illegal. The bill now goes to the state house.

If it becomes law county commissioners would be allowed to grant exceptions to the state’s alcohol law.
