Carolina Panthers Waive Armanti Edwards

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers waived wide receiver Armanti Edwards.

Edwards was a former star at Appalachian State and moved from being a quarterback to a receiver when he was drafted by the Panthers in 2010.

During his three years with the team, Edwards caught five passes for 121 yards.  The Panthers signed wide receiver Tony Clemons to the practice squad and released Cordell Roberson.
