CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Homicide Detectives have released the name of the man that was shot and killed in northwest Charlotte. On Wednesday, around 11:47 p.m., police say they received a call in regards to shots fired on Stonehenge Lane. When officers arrived, they were unable to locate any victims but say shortly afterwards, they were notified that a male suffering from a gunshot wound was on Beatties Ford Road.
Police identified the victim as Bob Pate Jr.
Medic transported Pate to Carolinas Medical Center with life threatening injuries. On Wednesday, police say he died as a result of his injuries.
No suspects have been arrested at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers.
